Balanced Weight Distribution
The increased overall outsole width ensures that your body weight is spread out more evenly, reducing the pressure points on your feet. This even weight distribution enhances comfort during various activities. For those with lower arches and flat feet, you will find that this is a big improvement. But for those with high arches, you may feel very little, to no difference.
Enhanced Outsole
The Primal 3 is made with our Widest Fit Last, just like the Primal 2. The difference is that we developed a new outsole on the Primal 3 with a wider footprint for more ground contact underneath the foot.
Higher Sidewalls
When examining the Lems Primal 3 from a lateral view, you may notice a visual difference — the sidewalls now wrap up higher on the sides. This is a deliberate design choice aimed at improving both fit and lateral stability. The higher side walls provide a snugger fit around the contours of your feet, cradling them comfortably.
Zero-Drop Platform
Just like the Primal 2, the Primal 3 is built on a zero-drop platform which keeps your heel and toes level, mimicking your natural barefoot position on a flat surface.

Quality Concerns
I really wanted to like this shoe. The cork insole and general feel of the shoe were awesome. The achilles tendon area of the shoe is a little tight and can cause some discomfort but I'm sure that would break in. Unfortunately, after trying 2 subsequent pairs of these (via warranty services), I found they both had the same quality issue. After light use in an office setting for a week, the inner lining stitching came untethered from the outer liner on the top of the ankle part of the shoe. Disappointed in the manufacturing quality as I really wanted to like these. Going with a different brand.

Extremely comfortable, poor quality
I bought this pair from lemsshoes.com on November 14, 2024. The attached photos are from today; July 5, 2025. I wore them for work 6 days a week since I bought them besides a few weeks off. It has been 7.5 months. As you can see they are starting to come apart and the inner lining is completely torn and worn out. I oiled the leather regularly. Very disappointing because they were not cheap!
Also the grip is not very good either especially on wet surfaces.
However they are very comfortable and I love the hybrid wear-anywhere style of the boot. I really hope they improve the quality because the style, fit and comfort of the boot is great.
