Balanced Weight Distribution
The increased overall outsole width ensures that your body weight is spread out more evenly, reducing the pressure points on your feet. This even weight distribution enhances comfort during various activities. For those with lower arches and flat feet, you will find that this is a big improvement. But for those with high arches, you may feel very little, to no difference.
Enhanced Outsole
The Primal 3 is made with our Widest Fit Last, just like the Primal 2. The difference is that we developed a new outsole on the Primal 3 with a wider footprint for more ground contact underneath the foot.
Higher Sidewalls
When examining the Lems Primal 3 from a lateral view, you may notice a visual difference — the sidewalls now wrap up higher on the sides. This is a deliberate design choice aimed at improving both fit and lateral stability. The higher side walls provide a snugger fit around the contours of your feet, cradling them comfortably.
Zero-Drop Platform
Just like the Primal 2, the Primal 3 is built on a zero-drop platform which keeps your heel and toes level, mimicking your natural barefoot position on a flat surface.

Love the upgrade!
This is an upgrade for me ... I love the new tread on this same boot I owned previously!
I work full time at a horse farm and these boots are perfect! Great tread for gravel, waterproof for those rainy and muddy days, and pliable leather, I don't feel stuck in a stiff boot.
I'll continue to replace this boot as I wear through them!
I regret not using leather oil to condition my last pair, which resulted in retiring them sooner, so this time around I'll be maintaining them better and hope to own them for a few years.
Thank you LEMS for the best footwear for us barefooters.

Yesterday
Inca Trail
After 6-months of training I was able to hike the Inca Trail this summer and these boots were amazing from day one! They had the flat profile and ground feel I needed with stellar ankle support. The waterproofing was great too, keeping my feet dry through a day and a half of nonstop rain in the cloud forest. Get these boots and go have an adventure!

Favorite boots of all time
These are the only shoes I own that I dread taking off. Wish I could wear them to bed. No joke.
Definitely prefer them over my vivos for my particular foot shape. Vivo women’s far too narrow. Men’s still run my pinky toe weird. Lems is it!! Plan to order pair of another style.
