Balanced Weight Distribution
The increased overall outsole width ensures that your body weight is spread out more evenly, reducing the pressure points on your feet. This even weight distribution enhances comfort during various activities. For those with lower arches and flat feet, you will find that this is a big improvement. But for those with high arches, you may feel very little, to no difference.
Enhanced Outsole
The Primal 3 is made with our Widest Fit Last, just like the Primal 2. The difference is that we developed a new outsole on the Primal 3 with a wider footprint for more ground contact underneath the foot.
Higher Sidewalls
When examining the Lems Primal 3 from a lateral view, you may notice a visual difference — the sidewalls now wrap up higher on the sides. This is a deliberate design choice aimed at improving both fit and lateral stability. The higher side walls provide a snugger fit around the contours of your feet, cradling them comfortably.
Zero-Drop Platform
Just like the Primal 2, the Primal 3 is built on a zero-drop platform which keeps your heel and toes level, mimicking your natural barefoot position on a flat surface.

RUGGED RUBBER OUTSOLE

The full rubber outsole features 4mm lugs for incredible traction both on and off-road. The built in zig-zag siping helps dissipate water and maintain ground contact.

Love, love, love these shoes
I have always had to break in a pair of shoes, but from the moment that I put these on, they have fit beautifully and I have never regretted this purchase. I will always come back and buy from this company and this issue particularly

New favorite shoe!
After struggling with foot cramps and spasms for years I was recommended Lems but was not looking for a barefoot feeling shoe (the ground is too cold for that where I live). The trail thrasher is great for hiking, walking, casual riding around town, and even cute enough to wear out. I get lots of compliments & questions! Best of all a lot less foot cramping!
The only reason I didn’t give them a 5/5 is that they are advertised as mountain biking shoes. I wouldn’t mtb in these; the bottoms would get ripped up by the pedals quickly, they are not flat on the bottom for max pedal/shoe surface area contact, they are not rigid enough to stand on pedals or take hits from rock smashing. If Lems came out with a proper flats mtb shoe I’d be one of the first to check them out though!
