Balanced Weight Distribution
The increased overall outsole width ensures that your body weight is spread out more evenly, reducing the pressure points on your feet. This even weight distribution enhances comfort during various activities. For those with lower arches and flat feet, you will find that this is a big improvement. But for those with high arches, you may feel very little, to no difference.
Enhanced Outsole
The Primal 3 is made with our Widest Fit Last, just like the Primal 2. The difference is that we developed a new outsole on the Primal 3 with a wider footprint for more ground contact underneath the foot.
Higher Sidewalls
When examining the Lems Primal 3 from a lateral view, you may notice a visual difference — the sidewalls now wrap up higher on the sides. This is a deliberate design choice aimed at improving both fit and lateral stability. The higher side walls provide a snugger fit around the contours of your feet, cradling them comfortably.
Zero-Drop Platform
Just like the Primal 2, the Primal 3 is built on a zero-drop platform which keeps your heel and toes level, mimicking your natural barefoot position on a flat surface.

Love these sandals!! They fit great and I love a sandal that doesn't make you feel like your foot is going to side out of it.

Great sandal
I left my beloved Bedrock Cairns in a hotel and needed an outdoor sandal replacement. I have been a Lems fan for several years, and they were released at the right time for me to take a chance on a new product rather than buying another pair of Bedrocks.
I was unsure whether to order size 10 or 11, but went with 10--I am glad I went with 10--they fit like custom sandals for my feet. I really like the swtichback one strap adjustment, it's better and less bulk than a velcro system, and more convenient than Bedrock's hook and loop system for a custom fit. I ordered "sandstorm" and the Leather looks really nice and can be worn in more casual-dress type situations than my nylon strap Bedrocks, which is a true sport sandal, this sandal is more of a chameleon. I have no issues with blisters or hot spots that have been mentioned in the reviews.
Overall--I am very pleased--Lems nailed it on the first try!

The bomb dot com!
I’ve been on a mission for the past 3 years to find the best sandals. I’ve tried a few different brands. Chaco, Merrell, Bedrock. And it’s safe to say I’ve found my new favorite sandal! Just ordered a second pair!
