The ZENSPEED+ feels like a very good option for someone moving away from conventional cushioned running shoes towards a more natural, minimalist style. You still get the roomy, foot-shaped fit and plenty of toe space, but with noticeably more cushioning and a little more drop than the ZENSPEED Lite. That makes the transition feel much less drastic while still moving in the right direction. I’d pick the Lite personally, but for anyone coming from traditional running shoes, I’d probably recommend starting with the ZENSPEED+.

I love the Lems Primal Zen, so I was excited when Lems announced they were adding running shoes to their line up.
The ZenSpeed Lite is well constructed, stylish in color and overall design, and the sole is rugged and grippy, and would probably perform well on non-technical trails too. I wear a men’s size 9.5, and I find these shoes to be true to size.
Running: The shoes felt light and comfortable initially, but the sole felt stiff during my first 2 or 3 runs. These shoes definitely started to “loosen” up, after I put around 20 miles on them. They have improved since then.

To anyone reading this, I’m telling you this is “THE” shoe. Yes I’ve tried many altras, good shoe, but the foam is so soft/squishy and their durability isn’t the greatest. I tried Topo, but the mid foot is so tight and also squishy(to me). Forever was looking for an anatomical shoe, but with a decent stack height that is not squishy. I can’t handle paper thin soles. I finally found them… These are it… just order them!

Absolutely loving my Zenspeed+ running shoes. I chose these based on running on Altra Torin shoes for last few years (running… more of an aspirational description. More like infrequent jogging).
Shoe volume was perfect for my feet, creating no “closed in” feeling on any sides of the shoe upper. This was paired with a “secure” feeling from the tongue, laces and otherwise hugging about the ankle. A unique combination in my opinion.
Then let’s talk about the sole. Foam is firmer than Altra Torin shoes, and my feet appreciated that. The gum-sole material on the bottom was great and created an almost noiseless footfall experience. This is different from most of my other running shoes that make a “pawing” noise with the ground from either the bare foam contacting pavement or rubber grip-sole that has gaps and grip.
Will the shoes make me want to run more? Let’s see.
I do enjoy running in them when life gives me an opportunity!

I primarily run long distance in my Primal 3s, so naturally I wanted to try these. They’re comfortable, but ever so slightly narrower than the primals. I’ll continue to use these for hard surface running (streets)
