They are so comfortable and warm!! I was nervous that these boots might be baggy around the ankle - or too difficult to get on and off - but neither is true. (They do require a good tug to get off, but it isn't bad, and I believe the elastic will loosen over time.) My feet are very happy. I am 66 years old and I now wear ONLY Lems (I have 7 different styles), and have no more foot, knee or hip pain.

Shoe shopping is kinda miserable for me, but detailed reviews are so helpful, so I hope I might help someone with mine. My context/shoe need profile: I have had plantar fasciitis in both feet (with one side still flaring up from time to time), and I have a moderate bunion on one foot. I've done years of PT and my feet and lower body are strong now so I'm not jumping into barefoot unprepared. I'm barefoot indoors at all times. To go out, I'm not "true" barefoot but I live in Birkenstock sandals from April through October, and running shoes for the rest of the year, including zero drop/wide toe box Altras (and snow boots when that's necessary). I like a touch of arch support, but need a wide toe box and mid to low cushion level (want to feel the ground). I live in a city, walk everywhere, and have a dog that needs long walks too. I have yet to find a versatile boot for winter that will be comfy, practical, and stylish enough to wear when I actually want to put together an outfit. Most brands feel so, so stiff and bulky, and too narrow in the toe box (but "wide" versions are too wide for the rest of my foot). I picked the Tuff Chelsea because it seemed to encompass everything I needed. I wore them around the house a bit w/ different socks and I was optimistic. I just did my first walk outside in them and I'm pretty pumped - they truly are comfortable right away, not feeling stiff or needing breaking in.
