Just what I was hoping for
I live in northern Nevada where temperatures can remain below freezing during the winter and snow can linger on the ground for weeks. I shopped around locally and even bought a pair of name brand boots with a fairly wide toe box that I “settled” on. But I really wasn’t satisfied. In fact, I never even wore them outside the store, but I could return them within 30 days, regardless of how much I wore them. When I got home I did a search. My number one criteria was that they had to be zero drop, which eventually led me to Lems.
These boots checked all the boxes I hoped they would; Zero drop, light weight, water proof, comfortable, slip resistant on snow, durable, and warm. The website says to consider ordering a pair of your usual size plus a second pair in a half size up, and returning the pair that may not quite fit right. I took a chance and only ordered a size 10, which fit just right. There was a break-in period of a couple weeks or so, which I think indicates their durability.
I haven’t taken any good hikes with them yet, but I feel like they’ll be up to the task. I think they will be great for snow shoeing as well. These definitely fit the bill.

Most I've ever spent on a pair of shoes - and so pleased!
I ordered a pair of these and as soon as I put them on, they felt comfortable; BUT I'll start off with the sad news first - the threading started to come out on the left shoe on the right side by the lowest shoelace hole. I contacted Lems and after a couple of emails of trying to figure out shipping, as I am in Canada, they offered me a new pair of boots and said I could keep the first pair... WOW! That was not expected, so hard to complain right there. Since then, I've been wearing the second pair almost everyday in whatever I'm doing, whether sitting around in my computer office or standing working on a customer's computer or doing some handyman work. My feet don't feel fatigued and the more I've worn them, the softer they get. So, I had to pull out the first pair and start wearing them to get them feeling softer too. Yep, I really love these shoes. Probably the best ones I've ever gotten. Trust the feel so much that I saw the Telluride model is being discontinued and decided to get a pair of those too and just like these, they feel so good right out of the box. Can't recommend enough. Next, I may have my eye on a more relaxed style like the Malibu.
