The increased overall outsole width ensures that your body weight is spread out more evenly, reducing the pressure points on your feet. But for those with high arches, you may feel very little, to no difference.
Enhanced Outsole
The Primal 3 is made with our Widest Fit Last, just like the Primal 2. The difference is that we developed a new outsole on the Primal 3 with a wider footprint for more ground contact underneath the foot.
Higher Sidewalls
When examining the Lems Primal 3 from a lateral view, you may notice a visual difference — the sidewalls now wrap up higher on the sides. This is a deliberate design choice aimed at improving both fit and lateral stability. The higher side walls provide a snugger fit around the contours of your feet, cradling them comfortably.
Zero-Drop Platform
Just like the Primal 2, the Primal 3 is built on a zero-drop platform which keeps your heel and toes level, mimicking your natural barefoot position on a flat surface.

Great shoe, but I like the old style better
I love my Lems, and will never stop wearing them, but the new style of the Primal 3 is wider than the old style, and with my narrow feet, they slip a little, even when I've pulled the laces really tight. I'm generally a size 10.5, and the size 11s are just exactly right for length, but the sides are a bit wide and don't grip my foot well. I get most people have fat feet these days, so therefore those of us with long narrow feet, have trouble finding a good fit. The old style was perfect for my feet. The newer style is great in so many ways, but just honestly too wide now. If you have anything but a narrow foot, you will probably love the Primal 3 as it's a great shoe otherwise. If you do a lot of hiking, get the brown and you will never know you just stomped through a lot of dirt.

BEST SHOES EVER
Immediate happy feet. I don’t want to take these off. My husband has been wearing these for a year so I had to try.
Literally giving away my other shoes. Like a glove , but better.

This is my third pair of Primal 3's, very comfortable, my only complaint is I wish the sole lasted a littke longer.
