Balanced Weight Distribution
The increased overall outsole width ensures that your body weight is spread out more evenly, reducing the pressure points on your feet. This even weight distribution enhances comfort during various activities. For those with lower arches and flat feet, you will find that this is a big improvement. But for those with high arches, you may feel very little, to no difference.
Enhanced Outsole
The Primal 3 is made with our Widest Fit Last, just like the Primal 2. The difference is that we developed a new outsole on the Primal 3 with a wider footprint for more ground contact underneath the foot.
Higher Sidewalls
When examining the Lems Primal 3 from a lateral view, you may notice a visual difference — the sidewalls now wrap up higher on the sides. This is a deliberate design choice aimed at improving both fit and lateral stability. The higher side walls provide a snugger fit around the contours of your feet, cradling them comfortably.
Zero-Drop Platform
Just like the Primal 2, the Primal 3 is built on a zero-drop platform which keeps your heel and toes level, mimicking your natural barefoot position on a flat surface.

Comfortable and light
These are great for people with a wide fore foot. These fit me extremely well. The yhave a.mesh upper that will.be great in the summer months.

Fits fantastic!
This is the first time I’ve owned athletic shoes that feel like they were made for my feet.
These shoes have been great to wear. The only snugness is over the top of the foot, which can be noticeable by the end of the day, but I have seen Lem’s recommendation to remove the insole if more room is needed here.
I’m very satisfied and will continue buying Lem’s shoes in the future.

Yesterday
My second pair.
I discovered Lems at a local recreational outfitter about 2 years ago. I bought the Primal 2s and fell in love with them immediately. My love for them grew after wearing them for hikes and wet wading. The natural feeling they provide is amazing along with the traction. Another perk is the lower back pain relief I experienced. That pair has lasted me the entire two years...needless to say they are durable and well made. I have explored other options on the market, however I have not been able to find any shoe that compares to the Primal. I have now retired that pair for daily use and replaced them with the Primal 3. Needless to say, though they are smooth soled now, I will continue to wear them as a secondary. The Primal 3 is nearly identical to me, however there is a minor difference in the feeling of the sole. This however has not lowered the integrity of the Primal Line of Lems.
