Balanced Weight Distribution
The increased overall outsole width ensures that your body weight is spread out more evenly, reducing the pressure points on your feet. This even weight distribution enhances comfort during various activities. For those with lower arches and flat feet, you will find that this is a big improvement. But for those with high arches, you may feel very little, to no difference.
Enhanced Outsole
The Primal 3 is made with our Widest Fit Last, just like the Primal 2. The difference is that we developed a new outsole on the Primal 3 with a wider footprint for more ground contact underneath the foot.
Higher Sidewalls
When examining the Lems Primal 3 from a lateral view, you may notice a visual difference — the sidewalls now wrap up higher on the sides. This is a deliberate design choice aimed at improving both fit and lateral stability. The higher side walls provide a snugger fit around the contours of your feet, cradling them comfortably.
Zero-Drop Platform
Just like the Primal 2, the Primal 3 is built on a zero-drop platform which keeps your heel and toes level, mimicking your natural barefoot position on a flat surface.

RUGGED RUBBER OUTSOLE

The full rubber outsole features 4mm lugs for incredible traction both on and off-road. The built in zig-zag siping helps dissipate water and maintain ground contact.

Finally a proper fitting toe box for MTB ! 4.5 Stars, needs to have toe box protection , then 5 stars for MTB
I have wide feet and it is a pain to find quality fitting shoes for MTB. I have an older pair of 5.10 Sam Hill Impacts that I have babied for close to 10 years as they are the bare minimum for shoe width and have a beefed up toe box for protection. For backcountry riding, tech sections , and Enduro / DH trails you are going to smash you toes into something from time to time. These would be a perfect shoe with a thermoplastic, aluminum or carbon fiber protection added to the toe area. I would not be mad at a little stiffer sole for support on the pedals. Kudos to Lems for offering this shoe, I would love to see a V2 DH option of this.

Best shoes I have ever bought
The Lems Trail Thrasher are better than any shoe I have ever bought. The fit is perfect for my feet and the grip is better than anything I've tried. I ride a Onewheel that has grip tape for traction and these shoes are perfect in every way. They are worth every penny they ask for them and I'm seriously considering buying the new waterproof ones just to have. Thank you for a perfect shoe!!!

Not the widest
So I was excited to new styles in the widest foot shape as I have a duck foot. The primal zen is perfect shape. The shape of the sole is narrow at the toe and width is also more narrow. Same size as the zen. You may need to size up if the primal zen is your shoe. Keep the same specs on the sole as the primal zen !!!!
