Balanced Weight Distribution
The increased overall outsole width ensures that your body weight is spread out more evenly, reducing the pressure points on your feet. This even weight distribution enhances comfort during various activities. For those with lower arches and flat feet, you will find that this is a big improvement. But for those with high arches, you may feel very little, to no difference.
Enhanced Outsole
The Primal 3 is made with our Widest Fit Last, just like the Primal 2. The difference is that we developed a new outsole on the Primal 3 with a wider footprint for more ground contact underneath the foot.
Higher Sidewalls
When examining the Lems Primal 3 from a lateral view, you may notice a visual difference — the sidewalls now wrap up higher on the sides. This is a deliberate design choice aimed at improving both fit and lateral stability. The higher side walls provide a snugger fit around the contours of your feet, cradling them comfortably.
Zero-Drop Platform
Just like the Primal 2, the Primal 3 is built on a zero-drop platform which keeps your heel and toes level, mimicking your natural barefoot position on a flat surface.

These Are Great Winter Boots!!
I was very excited to finally find a pair of legitimate wide toe box winter boots and these do not disappoint! They feel sturdy and comfortable and my feet are very warm in them.
I live in Alberta, Canada and I’ve worn them in -30 degree weather as well as in deep snow. I am happy to report that my feet were not cold nor got wet once!! They have pretty decent grip as well for slippery conditions and I appreciate the ankle support.
Being that they are insulated, they feel snug but in a comfortable way, even with my thick Nordic socks on. But if you need a bit more wiggle room then I would recommend sizing up. I’m usually a size 10 and decided to go with a size 10.5 and they hug my feet comfortably.

I love these boots!
For sizing- I need a 9 in the boulder boot and got an 8.5 in the Breck, and it fits perfectly. I have to be able to wear wool socks in all my boots. I am so happy with these shoes, I feel like this is the winter boot I have been searching for! Where I live we haven't had much of a winter yet, so I haven't been able to truly put them to the test. I do run cold though and my feet have been so cozy in these. I am not used to having to break in shoes, and these weren't uncomfortable by any means straight out of the box, but they do get more comfortable every time I wear them. I love the zipper, putting them on and taking them off is a breeze. I am so happy to finally have a winter shoe that works for my feet (I wear correct toes all day everyday).

Finally!! Warmth and comfort!
I am so pleased with these boots! Historically I have had lots of difficulty finding footwear that doesn’t squeeze my toes or the sides of my feet. I tried buying larger sizes in traditional brands but they still were too small in all the key areas, leaving me with stiff arches and cold and numb toes in winter. I couldn’t go another season just tying to deal with it. I am so glad I found these boots by Lems! My feet have all the space they need to move and for warm air to circulate, all while not looking like a huge oversized boot and having a flattering profile. I finally can feel warm and fashionable in winter!
