Balanced Weight Distribution
The increased overall outsole width ensures that your body weight is spread out more evenly, reducing the pressure points on your feet. This even weight distribution enhances comfort during various activities. For those with lower arches and flat feet, you will find that this is a big improvement. But for those with high arches, you may feel very little, to no difference.
Enhanced Outsole
The Primal 3 is made with our Widest Fit Last, just like the Primal 2. The difference is that we developed a new outsole on the Primal 3 with a wider footprint for more ground contact underneath the foot.
Higher Sidewalls
When examining the Lems Primal 3 from a lateral view, you may notice a visual difference — the sidewalls now wrap up higher on the sides. This is a deliberate design choice aimed at improving both fit and lateral stability. The higher side walls provide a snugger fit around the contours of your feet, cradling them comfortably.
Zero-Drop Platform
Just like the Primal 2, the Primal 3 is built on a zero-drop platform which keeps your heel and toes level, mimicking your natural barefoot position on a flat surface.

Great boot!
Absolutely love this boot. After wearing blundstones for a few years, and subsequently messing up my feet, I am delighted to find these comfortable boots that I can wear in all weather. It took about two weeks to break them in, but now they are very comfortable. After reading the comments, I did size up half a size and I'm glad I did, they fit comfortably all day. I hope they stand the test of time, it seems like they will.

Not as wide as barefoot style
I have had 2 pairs of the Chelsea boot barefoot style. I love them, I wear them everyday for work. They fit my wide feet perfectly. I bought the tuff style to see if they might last a little longer.
I also prefer they grain leather over the suedey style of the barefoot (they get cut easily, stared at a slice on the toe of my boot for a year)
Unfortunately the Tuff version is not nearly as roomy in the toe box. The toe is definitely a different shape. All the descriptions say they are both "the widest fit" but the barefoot is definitely wider. You can tell the difference in shape, new boot tuff vs. Old boot barefoot.
All my wide foot baddies should stick with the barefoot style.

Love my boots
I am new to Lems, so ordering boots recently was a leap of faith. It’s with great happiness that I can report I love them. They were comfortable right out of the box, and get better the longer I wear them. I have some unique foot issues, and these are some of the few that make me forget about foot pain entirely. If I were ordering again, I would get a half size larger as they are hard to get on and off, but they do feel great on my feet. I wish there were somewhere I could try them on before purchase, but I’ll be a Lems customer for life.
