Balanced Weight Distribution
The increased overall outsole width ensures that your body weight is spread out more evenly, reducing the pressure points on your feet. This even weight distribution enhances comfort during various activities. For those with lower arches and flat feet, you will find that this is a big improvement. But for those with high arches, you may feel very little, to no difference.
Enhanced Outsole
The Primal 3 is made with our Widest Fit Last, just like the Primal 2. The difference is that we developed a new outsole on the Primal 3 with a wider footprint for more ground contact underneath the foot.
Higher Sidewalls
When examining the Lems Primal 3 from a lateral view, you may notice a visual difference — the sidewalls now wrap up higher on the sides. This is a deliberate design choice aimed at improving both fit and lateral stability. The higher side walls provide a snugger fit around the contours of your feet, cradling them comfortably.
Zero-Drop Platform
Just like the Primal 2, the Primal 3 is built on a zero-drop platform which keeps your heel and toes level, mimicking your natural barefoot position on a flat surface.

My Favorite Work Boot
I got these primarily for work but plan on wearing them frequently for hiking/rucking to get in shape for skiing. Hiked for five hours with these through 2-8 inches of snow without gaiters and my feet stayed dry the whole time. They soaked through when i got home, may be more water resistant with leather conditioner/preservative. The main reason I bought these was because it's very difficult to find work boots that don't have heels on them, and these are better for the heel cord and make you less likely to roll and ankle or get injured. The sole feels thick enough to be protective yet has enough flex for the foot to move freely and make you want to wear them. Also I usually wear a size 12 shoe, ordered a 12 and these fit but feel slightly snug I could have gone with a 12.5. The toe box is also plenty wide enough and comfortable. Highly recommended, would buy again if I ever have to.

Nearly perfect for me
There is a lot to love about these boots.
Despite the rugged construction, For me, because of my own foot issues, the plastic toe box doesn't have enough wiggle room.
Obligated to where orthotics and I like a spenco cushion under them. That formula makes walking easier.
Without the 1/8 inch cushion the orthotics take up about the same room as the stock insoles. My toenails are still jamming up against the toe box.
Tried going up a whole size and I think there might be enough play in them but I am not ready to jam tennis balls inside and heat it up with a hair dryer. That size 14 seems a little too loose to work out in the long run.
I am a Lems fan with four pairs here at home that serve well. I will wait for the Summit Pro to get back in stock. I was looking forward to these boots being ideal for desert explorations and sand dunes.

Please make these in the black polishable leather and add an inch of height
These need to be made in black ! I would almost guarantee you’ll get a ton of orders for a tall military duty boot with a natural toe box and 0 drop. Please save us all in the black boot world that cannot wear a low style boot.
