The increased overall outsole width ensures that your body weight is spread out more evenly, reducing the pressure points on your feet. Enhanced Outsole
The Primal 3 is made with our Widest Fit Last, just like the Primal 2. The difference is that we developed a new outsole on the Primal 3 with a wider footprint for more ground contact underneath the foot.
Higher Sidewalls
When examining the Lems Primal 3 from a lateral view, you may notice a visual difference — the sidewalls now wrap up higher on the sides. This is a deliberate design choice aimed at improving both fit and lateral stability. The higher side walls provide a snugger fit around the contours of your feet, cradling them comfortably.
Zero-Drop Platform
Just like the Primal 2, the Primal 3 is built on a zero-drop platform which keeps your heel and toes level, mimicking your natural barefoot position on a flat surface.

I really like these boots!
I wanted a pair of quality cold weather/snow /ice boots that have easy on/off characteristics and I found them.
They have excellent winter traction and keep my feet warm with medium to heavier socks. I can wear them with a sport jacket and slacks as they work for casual to more formal settings because of the good quality leather and overall look. I can also wear them with more casual attire.
A really good purchase.

Good winter boot for casual wear
I’ve been liking these boots. It’s a very thick chunky sole. Good for getting around in snow/slush, but if you want a “barefoot” shoe, this is not it. They are super warm, honestly borderline too warm for my feet. I’ve been packing back up socks for on the go (I have notoriously sweaty feet so it’s nothing new).
Put to the test in a very cold and very snowy start to Vermont winter.

Great shoe, lasted a decent long time! I have used them 6 days a week, at USPS, on a 10+ mile walking route.
4 months in I've finally worn a hole in the bottom tread.
That's 17 weeks, 119-17 days 10 miles/day = 1020 miles.
