You have to put them in like they're going to be a little bit too far forward and then you have to get your fingers all the way in there to tuck the tip into the toe box. It took me a few tries on the first show to get it just right but the second shoe went right in. You have to think about it like this is the replacement insoles went in very easily then they wouldn't fit perfectly. That's why you have to have it aligned jussst right. ...but you have to trim the new insole first, as the same insole fits a couple of shoe sizes. To do this, take out the old insole and line it up underneath the new one. by matching up the heels and left/right edges. Now, flip over the stacked insoles and trim off the excess at the toe end of the insole and you're done!
