Balanced Weight Distribution
The increased overall outsole width ensures that your body weight is spread out more evenly, reducing the pressure points on your feet. This even weight distribution enhances comfort during various activities. For those with lower arches and flat feet, you will find that this is a big improvement. But for those with high arches, you may feel very little, to no difference.
Enhanced Outsole
The Primal 3 is made with our Widest Fit Last, just like the Primal 2. The difference is that we developed a new outsole on the Primal 3 with a wider footprint for more ground contact underneath the foot.
Higher Sidewalls
When examining the Lems Primal 3 from a lateral view, you may notice a visual difference — the sidewalls now wrap up higher on the sides. This is a deliberate design choice aimed at improving both fit and lateral stability. The higher side walls provide a snugger fit around the contours of your feet, cradling them comfortably.
Zero-Drop Platform
Just like the Primal 2, the Primal 3 is built on a zero-drop platform which keeps your heel and toes level, mimicking your natural barefoot position on a flat surface.

Great for standing.
I started a new job around a lot of dust on concrete floors. These shoes are great for standing in place all day and won’t slip. In my opinion they do run very small. I normally buy a 9-9.5 and I got these in a 10.5. I’m very glad there was a local retailer with some to try on in stock.

The shoes are nice
At first they were so much harder than my other shoes that it took awhile to get used to them. I am liking them better as I wore them more. Maybe they are getting softer

Finally!!
In October 2023, I started working as a Personal Shopper at Sam's Club, which means I fulfill online orders for members to pick up curbside. I'm 59 years of age, and I've never before had the experience of walking on concrete for an entire shift. The arthritis on top of my feet and calluses on both big toes caused great pain, and the bottoms of my feet were in pain constantly. I bought an expensive pair of Hoku shoes, recommended by my personal shopper coworkers and worn by many other club employees, as well. My feet ended up in more pain and my calluses grew. I tried another pair of wide-width shoes that were a slight improvement, but the memory foam insoles quickly flattened and became uncomfortable. I bought a rather expensive pair of insoles, which were supposed to help with the plantar fasciitis that was more developing on my right foot, but the arches were too high for my feet, creating more discomfort. I mentioned my foot pain to a friend, and they talked with someone else about it, who said they had all the same issues I did in their security guard job walking about eight miles a day on concrete. He'd gotten some Lems and said all those problems had been alleviated. I ordered the Kourt Grip shoes, as I figured they'd be easy to clean and would prevent slipping when working on snowy surfaces.
