Almost perfect!
I like almost everything about this shoe: the wide toebox, the zero-drop heel, the barefoot feel. However, I really don't care for all the writing all over the shoe, especially the big Live Easy & Minimal around the heel. I had ordered the black model in the hope that maybe I could get away with wearing these on semi-formal occasions, but no way with all that writing all over the shoe. Please remove when you update/replace the model.

Most Comfortable Shoe I Own, but...
MY FAVORITE SHOEÑbut, the signage is over-the-top sad, with a large LEMS on the side, a large icon, the words Live Easy & Minimal in a childish font on the heel, and tag linesÑin raised lettersÑon the rubber part of the heel that say, back to our rootsÓ and ancestral footwearÓ. GOOD LORDÑWHY ARE THERE SO MANY WORDS ON MY SHOES? Let the comfort and minimalism of the shoes speak for themselves. Take off everything except maybe the icon (and make it smaller)Ñmake the designÉ erÉ minimal.

Cheap Craft Felt Material | Non-wicking
These shoes are an average fitting shoe. Not super comfortable and not uncomfortable. Cheap materials and construction. Where they really fail is when they get wet. The cheap felt fabric overlays of the upper holds water when wet, to the point where I thought the shoe may just fall apart while on my feet. They take a couple days to air dry, which says that it has very poor wicking ability. Who makes shoes with craft felt????

Minimal manufacturing
I two pairs of Lems Primal 2 Black. The first pair I had worn for about a week. They were too small because the sizing chart says the shoes run true to US sizes. There is no standard US shoe sizing, so that really doesn't mean anything. Since I had worn the shoes, I could not return them. I ordered a second larger pair, and the tongue on the right shoe separated after three weeks.

Toxic materials
I love the concept. Shoes designed for the shape of your feet. However, the materials used construct are just terrible and what you would find for $10 shoes are your local import shop. First up, it has a terrible chemical smell. You can smell harsh solvent based glue permenatanting from the shoe. Secondly, the stitching is poor and uneven with random blobs of glue around the sole. Its crazy to use this level of quality and what's worse is that a shoe call “primal” is use the most unnatural materials possible. It feels horrible wearing them, I can smell the glue and dyes off gassing on my socks and I just hate to think what VOCs my skin is exposed to.

so far so good
when I first wore them for an hour I had some pain in the balls of my feet and I couldn't really tell if my toes were better off or not but now after a couple of weeks my feet feel great, and I'm wearing them everywhere. I wear toe separators at night and I think the Lems are just letting them stay separated during the day. I also had great service when I had to return the shoes for a better size. I'm very pleased with the customer service.

I love my new LEMS!
Great color, light weight, comfortable walking on or off pavement. Easy to exchange them for a corrected size. I wear them with toe socks and Correct Toes. I bought the LEMS to reduce plantar fasciitis, tarsal tunnel syndrome & a hammer toe problem. Tried Vibram FiveFingers shoes, but LEMS are far more comfortable and attractive.

great fit, weak stitches
The shoes feel awesome. Wide toe box, barefoot feel, flexible, light. The stitching on the insides gave within days. Same happened on my other pair

Great Shoes!!
I love these shoes. I have plantar faciitis and am working to restore movement to my feet. I love the black ones. I would love to see the Mary Jane type shoes brought back so that I can wear them for work.

Women's primal 2
I am new to a minimalist shoe and I find I like the feel of walking in this shoe. I also like that I can freely move my toes. Normally I wear a women's size 7 and in the Primal 2 I am wearing a size 40. My foot is a bit wide in the instep and I feel like the shoe could be a couple mm wider or offer the shoes in a wide. The other thing I would like to see improved is to have the edges of the tongue sewn down, as it feels a little lumpy on the top of the foot.

Next best thing to barefoot
After reading the company story and research that went in to this brand, I knew I had to try it out. I suffered from chronic plantar fasciitis up until a year ago when I finally started wearing proper footwear, and I was excited to give these a run. Literally. These are, by far, the lightest and most comfortable shoe I've ever worn. I know I've found a great shoe when it feels like I'm walking barefoot, and my feet don't have to re-adjust after taking them off. Lifelong customer right here!

Weekend warrior
I have to say these shoes have been the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn. I have wide feet and the toe box is perfect for me. They are so light and perfect for everything I do. The looks are better then most barefoot/minimalist shoes. The only problem I have is the life of the shoe, after only a few months I have worn through most of the tread of the shoe. Hopefully the Lems will work on the tread life and maybe some other styles/colors in the future!

Would recommend
Lems fits my hard to fit foot well. I have a wide shoe box, narrow heel and low arches. Heard about Lems from my sports med MD to use with Correct Toes as part of treatment for back pain. Glad I found you. Like frost color the best. Wish there was a loyalty program. Also wish there was a more durable bumper.

Really like them, but...
Like other reviewers have said, the words are a bit much and should go. The only other thing I'm sad about is that they don't come in wide. The toe box is a great size, but I need more width in the metatarsal area right behind the toes. There was just no fixing the lacing to accommodate this until they stretch out. Now it's just uncomfortably tight instead of painful. That being said, I've been wearing them every day (college campus walking & lifting in the gym), they feel great in all other areas, & I'm pleased with the quality.

These shoes are without a doubt the most comfortable shosies I have ever worm. My feet are very weird and quite ugly -- bunions, too high arches, the whole bit ... however, these shoes are like walking around in bedroom slippers. I didn't even need time to adjust to them. They were recommended to me by my massage therapist, and I thanked her profusely. Needless to say, I will be ordering again -- both this style and others. I'm hooked!

careful with sizing
They are good looking and seem to be made quite well. I only mark this 4 because the website could offer a little more sizing advice for oddballs like myself. I have a wide foot and am starting to get bunions. That is why I became interested in this shoe. I normally wear a USA womens size 6 wide. I ordered my Lems in a size size 7 since they dont offer a 6.5. I am bummed that the seven was way, too big. Sadly I have to exchange my beautiful new Lems for a smaller size shoe.

Love these shoes!
I have been wearing Altra running shoes since they were released several years ago. I have been searching for a casual shoes with the same profile: zero-drop and wide toe box. These shoes are perfect. Cute enough to wear with jeans or leggings, and plenty of room for my toes to spread out. I even wear my Correct Toes with them. (For the record, I wear a women's 11 in the Altras, and I wear a 43 in these shoes.)

I wear these babies to work as I stand all day on my feet. To be honest I forget I am wearing shoes. I have tried so many other shoes and they hurt my feet. I have pain in my heels due to the fact I stand all day. Happy with these shoes the are my rescue.

Ms.
When I was diagnosed with RA I couldn't wear my regular shoes anymore due to intense ball-of-foot pain, yet I couldn't go barefoot either. Discovering Lems put me on the road to recovery. No more pain! I live in Lems!

love the shoes
I really liked the shoes. I have a history of bunion surgery, and the the outer ends of my feet were hurting. I love how can wiggle my toes in these, and do not feel constricted. I have to make sure I wear socks that are high enough in the back of the shoe, or else it would hurt when the shoes rub against my skin on the back.
