Almost perfect!
I like almost everything about this shoe: the wide toebox, the zero-drop heel, the barefoot feel. However, I really don't care for all the writing all over the shoe, especially the big Live Easy & Minimal around the heel. I had ordered the black model in the hope that maybe I could get away with wearing these on semi-formal occasions, but no way with all that writing all over the shoe. Please remove when you update/replace the model.

Most Comfortable Shoe I Own, but...
MY FAVORITE SHOEÑbut, the signage is over-the-top sad, with a large LEMS on the side, a large icon, the words Live Easy & Minimal in a childish font on the heel, and tag linesÑin raised lettersÑon the rubber part of the heel that say, back to our rootsÓ and ancestral footwearÓ. GOOD LORDÑWHY ARE THERE SO MANY WORDS ON MY SHOES? Let the comfort and minimalism of the shoes speak for themselves. Take off everything except maybe the icon (and make it smaller)Ñmake the designÉ erÉ minimal.

A Helpful Shoe
I wear these for work and the first few days my legs were sore. But I knew that the transition to a zero drop shoe would not be instantaneous. I wear an 8 1/2 US which is a 41 in this style but I ended up choosing a 42 because I wear them with toe socks and correct toes and I wanted plenty of room without having to remove the liner. The wide toe box is great and allows for natural toe splay which is so much more helpful for balance in walking and standing.

Ms.
I have had my Lems for over 2.5 years. I ordered a pair of black ones, and I wear them to work almost daily. I wear them outside and inside. I have kayaked in these shoes, then thrown them in the wash. They dry very quickly. I took the insole out because I go barefoot when possible. I bike, hike, and garden in these shoes. Because of the gardening, I wash them often. Today they finally showed the first sign of wear. I am excited to order a new pair... for nicer settings, but will continue to wear these for hiking and gardening. Love my Lems! I really can't stand to wear any other shoes now except my Lems and flip flops. The bunion on my right foot has basically disappeared, and the one on my left foot looks much better and rarely hurts now.

Cheap Craft Felt Material | Non-wicking
These shoes are an average fitting shoe. Not super comfortable and not uncomfortable. Cheap materials and construction. Where they really fail is when they get wet. The cheap felt fabric overlays of the upper holds water when wet, to the point where I thought the shoe may just fall apart while on my feet. They take a couple days to air dry, which says that it has very poor wicking ability. Who makes shoes with craft felt????

More Sizes
Need more sizes for Primal 2. At least 47 could do.

Minimal manufacturing
I two pairs of Lems Primal 2 Black. The first pair I had worn for about a week. They were too small because the sizing chart says the shoes run true to US sizes. There is no standard US shoe sizing, so that really doesn't mean anything. Since I had worn the shoes, I could not return them. I ordered a second larger pair, and the tongue on the right shoe separated after three weeks.

so far so good
when I first wore them for an hour I had some pain in the balls of my feet and I couldn't really tell if my toes were better off or not but now after a couple of weeks my feet feel great, and I'm wearing them everywhere. I wear toe separators at night and I think the Lems are just letting them stay separated during the day. I also had great service when I had to return the shoes for a better size. I'm very pleased with the customer service.

Toxic materials
I love the concept. Shoes designed for the shape of your feet. However, the materials used construct are just terrible and what you would find for $10 shoes are your local import shop. First up, it has a terrible chemical smell. You can smell harsh solvent based glue permenatanting from the shoe. Secondly, the stitching is poor and uneven with random blobs of glue around the sole. Its crazy to use this level of quality and what's worse is that a shoe call “primal” is use the most unnatural materials possible. It feels horrible wearing them, I can smell the glue and dyes off gassing on my socks and I just hate to think what VOCs my skin is exposed to.

Almost perfect
These are the most comfortable shoes I've worn, and I have three pair. However, after just a few months of casual wear my toe has poked a hole through the fabric on both feet (and I don't have particularly large toes). For $100 plus shipping I'd be happier with shoes that last a bit longer. Add better toe reinforcement and this would be the perfect casual shoe.

Finally. A minimalist shoe that enhances proprioception, does not restrict the metatarsals, fits like a sock, and doesn't look clownish. I have tried everything. Vivobarefoot, New Balance Minimus, Merrell Barefoot, Vibram Fivefingers, Inov-8, and even Nike Frees (which dont really count as minimalist). These shoes are hands-down the best. Everything else is either too goofy, slappy, stiff, or supportive. I am a powerlifter, so I wear fivefingers to work-out in because I need to be as close to the ground as possible, but these are the perfect shoe for every day use and the occasional run. Thanks, Lems. You've made a 250lb minimalist runner/ powerlifter who also works a full-time office job a very happy customer.

I love my new LEMS!
Great color, light weight, comfortable walking on or off pavement. Easy to exchange them for a corrected size. I wear them with toe socks and Correct Toes. I bought the LEMS to reduce plantar fasciitis, tarsal tunnel syndrome & a hammer toe problem. Tried Vibram FiveFingers shoes, but LEMS are far more comfortable and attractive.

Great Shoes!!
I love these shoes. I have plantar faciitis and am working to restore movement to my feet. I love the black ones. I would love to see the Mary Jane type shoes brought back so that I can wear them for work.

Women's primal 2
I am new to a minimalist shoe and I find I like the feel of walking in this shoe. I also like that I can freely move my toes. Normally I wear a women's size 7 and in the Primal 2 I am wearing a size 40. My foot is a bit wide in the instep and I feel like the shoe could be a couple mm wider or offer the shoes in a wide. The other thing I would like to see improved is to have the edges of the tongue sewn down, as it feels a little lumpy on the top of the foot.

great fit, weak stitches
The shoes feel awesome. Wide toe box, barefoot feel, flexible, light. The stitching on the insides gave within days. Same happened on my other pair

Next best thing to barefoot
After reading the company story and research that went in to this brand, I knew I had to try it out. I suffered from chronic plantar fasciitis up until a year ago when I finally started wearing proper footwear, and I was excited to give these a run. Literally. These are, by far, the lightest and most comfortable shoe I've ever worn. I know I've found a great shoe when it feels like I'm walking barefoot, and my feet don't have to re-adjust after taking them off. Lifelong customer right here!

Mr.
The Primals are definitely comfortable. However, they don't have as wide a toe box as the 9 to 5s. If they had a slightly wider toe box, they would be perfect.

These shoes are so comfy--I love the wide toe box and zero drop, with enough tread for most purposes. Many thanks for the great design. My big wish for your future designs is the same wide toe box and zero drop, with less toe spring, and an insole that is as flat as you can get it, in a less athletic upper fabric, canvas perhaps? These Lems have a ridge up near the toes that I find slightly irritating, and I would like less arch.

I have to say these shoes have been the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn. I have wide feet and the toe box is perfect for me. They are so light and perfect for everything I do. The looks are better then most barefoot/minimalist shoes. The only problem I have is the life of the shoe, after only a few months I have worn through most of the tread of the shoe. Hopefully the Lems will work on the tread life and maybe some other styles/colors in the future!

Lems fits my hard to fit foot well. I have a wide shoe box, narrow heel and low arches. Heard about Lems from my sports med MD to use with Correct Toes as part of treatment for back pain. Glad I found you. Like frost color the best. Wish there was a loyalty program. Also wish there was a more durable bumper.
