Balanced Weight Distribution
The increased overall outsole width ensures that your body weight is spread out more evenly, reducing the pressure points on your feet. This even weight distribution enhances comfort during various activities. For those with lower arches and flat feet, you will find that this is a big improvement. But for those with high arches, you may feel very little, to no difference.
Enhanced Outsole
The Primal 3 is made with our Widest Fit Last, just like the Primal 2. The difference is that we developed a new outsole on the Primal 3 with a wider footprint for more ground contact underneath the foot.
Higher Sidewalls
When examining the Lems Primal 3 from a lateral view, you may notice a visual difference — the sidewalls now wrap up higher on the sides. This is a deliberate design choice aimed at improving both fit and lateral stability. The higher side walls provide a snugger fit around the contours of your feet, cradling them comfortably.
Zero-Drop Platform
Just like the Primal 2, the Primal 3 is built on a zero-drop platform which keeps your heel and toes level, mimicking your natural barefoot position on a flat surface.

Great shoes
These shoes really hit the sweet spot for comfort. They do run a bit small FYI. I went up a full size (normally wear 11's and the Primal 3 in size 12 fit great).

Perfect summer shoe!
I'm so happy for the Primal 3! Love the wide toe box, zero drop, and super lightweight, breathable upper in light gray (Slate) color for the summer. I already own 2 pairs of Primal 2, which I love for yard work and errands, but I love the sole of the Primal 3 for work in an urban public library, as well as walking and biking to work. The fit and sole are very similar to the Primal Zen (I own 3 pairs of those), but the upper of the Primal 3 is far cooler in the hot summer. The upper is surprisingly durable and wears well, given how light it feels on my feet. These are perfect for my tender, arthritic toes and bunions, and I especially like the extra cushion of the thicker sole for standing and walking on concrete for extended periods of time. Grateful for the expanded selection in widest fit options! My feet, knees, and lower back have never felt better since my first pair of Lems!

Husband’s new favorite shoe
My husband apparently has never had a really comfortable pair of shoes, but the unique shape of his new Lems have changed his life 🤣. You have a lifetime customer on your hands!
