PRIMAL 2 VS. PRIMAL 3 OVERVIEW

Balanced Weight Distribution
The increased overall outsole width ensures that your body weight is spread out more evenly, reducing the pressure points on your feet. This even weight distribution enhances comfort during various activities. For those with lower arches and flat feet, you will find that this is a big improvement. But for those with high arches, you may feel very little, to no difference.
Enhanced Outsole
The Primal 3 is made with our Widest Fit Last, just like the Primal 2. The difference is that we developed a new outsole on the Primal 3 with a wider footprint for more ground contact underneath the foot.
Higher Sidewalls
When examining the Lems Primal 3 from a lateral view, you may notice a visual difference — the sidewalls now wrap up higher on the sides. This is a deliberate design choice aimed at improving both fit and lateral stability. The higher side walls provide a snugger fit around the contours of your feet, cradling them comfortably.
Zero-Drop Platform
Just like the Primal 2, the Primal 3 is built on a zero-drop platform which keeps your heel and toes level, mimicking your natural barefoot position on a flat surface.

Love the color, wish the shoe had less structure
To start, I love my Primal 2s. They are my ideal shoe. They have enough room for my Fred Flintstone feet — high-volume and wide toe region. I reach for them 9 of our 10 times when figuring out what to put on my feet for the day.
The Primal Eco, however, is more similar to the Primal Zen in that the material is a bit more constrictive in the upper, specifically around the midfoot. I feel a lot of pressure and the shoes aren’t quite as comfortable. They feel better after breaking them in, and still have room for my toes, so I’m inclined to rate them quite high and I think they would be great for someone who’s foot isn’t quite as thick as mine in the middle.
The cream “fossil” colorway, however, is IMO much more versatile than any of the other colorways that the Primal comes in. In short, if Lem’s made Primal 2s in Fossil or a similar color, I would buy at least two pairs and they would become my new daily favorite.
As is, I only use the Primal Ecos when fashion dictates (i.e. when the cream color is the only one that works, or when approaching a more “business casual” type of attire) and still wear Primal 2s on most days.

Great shoes!
I recently learned of LEMS and wanted to try them out. I’m glad I did! Super comfortable, well made, and easy to pack.
We are planning an overseas trip soon and needed some footwear that meets the criteria. LEMS provides that. I like these so much that I ordered another pair in a different style.
If you haven’t tried LEMS - why not? Well worth it.

Initial perception - Perfect
Fantastic and comfortable shoe right out of the box. Love the styling flexibility- business casual to shorts and tee shirt. The cork insoles are a game changer for sockless comfort and durability. Wide toe box means my toes have breathing room but without the floatiness of too much room. Glad I sized up from 12.5 to 13 for a perfect fit. My new favorite, versatile kicks!
