The Primal Zen is a minimalist, vegan-friendly shoe. Its unique outsole guarantees an ultra light fit and feel, yet adds a bit more protection with its platform that naturally wraps the shape of the foot.
We recommend ordering your normal US size. Please note, the Primal Zen may run shorter than the Primal 3.

Places the forefoot and heel flat to the ground correcting posture, aligning your spine, and encouraging mid-foot strike.

This was my first purchase of barefoot shoes. Wasn’t sure how long it would take for my transition from regular shoes. It didn’t take long—perhaps a couple weeks, but every day they felt more and more comfortable. I now wear them every day. I won’t go back to regular shoes. In fact, I donated most of my regular shoes because they are way too narrow.

These are brand new to me and feel great! I'm hopeful they will survive the wear and tear of everyday exercise. If they do, they'll have a customer for life. I previously used Flux which felt great but could not withstand daily long exercise walks and gym routines, they began tearing/shredding apart inside and out. The Lems feel great and hopefully hold great too!

I trail walk 5-7 miles daily. I now use a pair of primal zens for that as well as daily around town shoes. They are very comfortable and my feet have room to splay - no blisters or sore feet. In all my Lems shoes and boots I am a half size larger than prior "typical" shoes.

I have extra wide feet with bunions, neuropathy, and a tendency to trip over nothing. I bought all sorts of barefoot shoes before but they were all cheaply made and broke down within months. Lems are not only the answer to all my foot issues, they are incredibly lightweight yet well-made. I will buy them again! I would love to see more styles, though…and stay with dark soles, please (I live on the Oregon coast, it’s a little muddy here). Thank you for making such a great shoe!
