9.9oz. Lightweight Packable Boot
WORLD'S MOST PACK-ABLE BOOT

Finding boots that are ultra-minimalist, featuring a wide toebox, lightweight form, and zero-drop design is more difficult than locating the infamous Sasquatch…but why?  Where is the minimalist boot that is the natural shape of the human foot; a boot that brings your feet closer to the earth with a barefoot design; a boot so lightweight that it cuts down on ounces more than this week's fad diet; and a boot that has a wide toebox with more open space than the state of Kansas? Well, guess what, Dorothy? Welcome home!

We here at Lems Shoes believe that you don't need to be some environmentalist who survives on organic granola and berries to know that going natural can have its benefits, which is why we bring you the Boulder Boot - a barefoot boot that has all of the natural features you’ve been searching for all while promoting healthy foot development, better balance, increased mobility in the feet, legs, and back AND helps to alleviate certain foot ailments such as bunions and hammer toes. If you're ready for a 9.9oz boot (size 43) that can pack down into the smallest of daypacks or carry you on the farthest of Sasquatch searches, then it’s time you rock the Boulder.

    Great boots

Posted by Brian A. on Mar 19th 2017

These boots are awesome. Super lightweight, flexible, and comfortable. This makes their durability even more impressive. I shoveled snow in them for about an hour the other day and my feet didn't get wet or cold at all. Only thing I noticed is that the traction wasn't very good in the snow (looks like other people have had a similar problem). Under normal conditions, I haven't had any problems.

    Boulder Boots

Posted by Robert on Jan 21st 2017

These are the best and most comfortable boots I have ever owned, and I have owned a lot. Not waterproof, but still so water resistant they almost never get wet inside except in water or snow that goes over the toe and has time to soak in

    Comfortable, but limited traction

Posted by Dave on Jan 13th 2017

Great for many type of hiking, and I wear them often. However, on damp/wet steep slopes, the lack of traction has caused my feet to slide out from underneath me too often. Love them for dry conditions and less demanding terrain.

After just a few hikes and random use I love them. Insane comfortable, the zero drop allows you to feel the trail and ground below you but still provides good stability and shock absorption. So far seem really durable and and deliver as promised.

Great boot! This boot lives up to all of the promises. I have worn zero drop sneakers from another company for a while so my feet were ready for a zero drop boot. The break in time was very minimal and easy. I was also impressed with how warm my feet stayed while hiking in 30 degree temperatures with light weight socks. Great job! I will buy more.

I'm not usually the type to write a review but this is one product that has made such a huge difference for me on a day-to-day basis! Absolutely amazing pair of boots! They are lightweight, and my feet are so comfortable in them! I have had a lot of issues with lower limb injuries/pain. A few months ago I bought a pair of leather boots, paid a good $150 for them, and they gave me excruciating foot pain after a few days of wearing them. Thankfully I had a pair of black Lems nine to fives, and immediately after wearing them my ankle pain went away. I even went to see a physiotherapist about my ankle pain, I had strained a ligament somehow, and we could not identify a cause. Now it's quite apparent that regular shoes have been causing a lot of my issues. I ordered a pair of boulder boots because I wanted a pair of footwear that were more casual than my black nine to fives to wear with jeans, and I could not be happier! When comparing these boots to my old pair, the differences are so obvious. These boots give my toes space, are light, are flexible, and I haven't had any more pain since!!! My other boots have a thick sole, do not allow my foot to move naturally, and are heavy. These boots look fantastic too!. Could not recommend more A+++

I'm a travel blogger so I am always on an adventure, and always on my feet. I am so glad I stumbled upon these shoes. Definitely getting more and would recommend! For daily or recreational use!

    Wilderness trekker

Posted by Bryan on Aug 30th 2016

9 days tramping through the wilderness of Denali NP, Alaska was a complete success because of my Boulder Boots. I was walking on riverbed cobbles, alpine tundra and moss, blueberry bogs, mountain ridges, and through rivers and mudholes up to mid-thigh. My Boulder Boots were great. They cleaned up and dried out quickly despite to cool days and nights. Of course winds up to 80 mph on the ridges did help everything to dry out faster. The thrill of seeing wolves, moose, bear, caribou, dall sheep, and a load of other animals up close was a thrill. Thank you for great boots that made the trip more enjoyable.

    my new favorite boots

Posted by Sam Hall on Aug 19th 2016

I absolutely love these boots. I've gotten used to wearing zero-drop shoes and wanted something to wear to my casual-dress job. These are sooo comfortable, really feels kindof like a moccasin, the soft upper feels great. The blue canvas boots came with 2 sets of laces, brown and orange, which is fun. Soles seem to be wearing somewhat quickly, I probably won't get much more than a year of almost-everyday-wear out of them. The soles are tougher than croc-type material but still on the soft side. I would say however that stone protection is decent, better than other minimalist shoes I have. I generally wear a 10.5 or 11 depending on the brand, I went with the 45 (11) size and it fits great, definitely not too large. The size 44 would have been too small. I have a very thin/flat foot and these shoes have tons of room. I stacked an extra insole underneath the Lems insole and that really helped the fit. I have to do this with most of my shoes (my feet really are very thin/flat) so that's not a hit against Lems.

    Very nice

Posted by Emile on Aug 15th 2016

The first time I wore them with ankle socks and they gave me a blister above the socks, but they just needed a bit of breaking in. Other than that super comfortable. I find them more spacious then the Lems shoes, which is nice, really like the space. 4 stars because they're kind of expensive for my budget, but I have wide feet and other shoes hurt my feet and I just love Lems so I'll pay the extra but I don't gotta like it

    My favourite shoes

Posted by Karim on Jul 29th 2016

Didn't like the look of these in black, but the colour options made me warm up to them so I bought the navy ones. These are now my favourite pair of shoes, they stay right at my door and are my go-to for everything. They look great, and function even better. The leather parts really keep the snow and water out and resist scuffs and marking; mine still look brand new after a long winter season and wearing them throughout the spring and summer. With thin socks they are comfortable in the summer, and with thicker socks they are warm enough for the cold Canadian winter. I can tie it tight enough to just slip on and off without undoing the laces each time and it fits snugly but still gives my toes room to spread. Awesome job Lems :)

    Versatility in a shoe-box

Posted by Kim Feldmann on Jul 26th 2016

I've been wearing my Boulder Boots now for over a month - mainly in the mountains and rough-grounded cities of Nepal and Northern India - and am constantly impressed by the feeling it gives of not wearing anything. All stitches still intact even after beeing badly beat up by rocks, water and dust, and the boots provide a comfortable, blister-less and breathable ride for my feet.

Purchased the Boulders about four weeks ago and have not worn anything else since then. Its going to be hard for me to go back to a stiff confining leather boot......................I wear them everywhere. Out here in Nevada its rocky and dusty, Love these boots. Now I will just have to see what they can stand up to and how long they will last.

So i am a big guy (pushing 390) and i have always been in the thickest soles, with the hardest rubber, with the tightest laces and ankle braces, and supports, and insoles, and extra thick socks, all to just try to get my back to stop hurting, and my feet, and ankles, and knees. None of it ever worked, in fact most of that probably made it worse. I got these on a whim after reading up quite a bit on my flatish feet and what a lot of places recommended getting shoes that are as flat as possible, with enough room for your toes to move around, and not a lot of cushion. every time i searched 0 drop shoes, lems were the first to pop up as best, or favorite, or most recommended it turns out i have to agree with every good thing i have heard about them. I have had no foot pain, ankle pain, knee plain, nor back pain since i started wearing them. Prolonged periods of standing and walking no longer cause debilitating pain in my back and ankles. (the need to sit down for at least 15 to 20 minutes just to be able to stand up straight) My ONLY beef's, are that they are a bit more than i usually spend, and because they are a tad warm, im going to have to buy a pair of the shoes, also a bit more than i usually spend, however after all the years of buying and trying hundreds of pairs of other shoes, ill gladly pay it until they DO cost less.

These are great shoes. I bought them to replace my old pair of Merrell Barefoot Power Play gloves which Merrell no longer makes. The Lems shoes are a good alternative, though I do miss the vibram sole a little from the Merrell's. I haven't gone hiking (yet) in these, but I'm confident they'll hold up for a day hike. I found they chafed a little at first until I started tying them differently, and now they fit perfectly. There's plenty of room in the toebox, which is important to me. I bought (and returned) a pair of Vivobarefoot hiking boots because they didn't have enough room for my toes to move. The brown color is great, though I half wish I'd purchased Timber instead... those look amazing, but I went with boring. Perhaps next time, because there will be a next time! I can easily see myself buying another pair when (if) these wear out.

I purchased these boots to wear at work. I work in an office environment. Looks great with khakis and jeans. Very comfortable, no leg or foot pain at the end of the day. Have also put some heavier wear on them working on my car in the garage. Still holding up great. Have read some complaints about the boots not being waterproof. Haven't used them in heavy snow or rain, so this hasn't been an issue for me. Have had them now for about 4 months. I plan on buying another pair sometime. Would reccomend.

I am an avid hiker with foot problems. Bunions, extra wide feet, high arches, etc. I bought these Lems and gone are the foot problems! I absolutely love them! I normally wear a six to six and a half, got a 39 in these. They are a bit longer than what I normally wear, but for hiking this is perfect, as the feet swell and more toe room is needed. Really wanted to give a five star rating but for some reason, that option wasn't available.

    2nd pair of Boulders

Posted by Leigh Wilkinson on Apr 19th 2016

I love the Amber Boulder! My first pair were the black ones, and even though they were fully canvas they took more breaking in than my Amber Blues that have a bit of leather. This pair fit great nearly as soon as I put them on! Just as comfortable as the last pair, now with the added longevity of extra insoles these are sure to last me a long while. I walk an hour to work most days, from Queens to Brooklyn, and these boots carry me happily from point A to point B.

I've tried everything - running shows, 150$ Nike's, insoles - nothing compares to the comfort I feel when wearing my LEMS. I don't think I'll buy any other shoe again.

I have had my Buckeye Boulder Boots for a few months and they have absolutely replaced many of the shoes in my closet. They are extremely light, but have a durable feel so even though you move through terrain or the city easily you still feel protected. I travel extensively for work and only like carry on luggage. I no longer carry tennis shoes on the road, it is always my Boulder Boots in my bag....yes even for the gym on the road. They make my trips to NY with follow on to Denver so much easier since they pack well and are durable enough for finding the nearest Shake Shack in NY or enjoying Red Rock Amphitheater in Denver.

    3rd Pair

Posted by Rone on Apr 16th 2016

I'm on my third pair of Lem's Boulder boots. I'll continue to buy them for the forseeable future. I really like the fit and feel. After 3 pair: (1) I wish the outsole came in a tougher compound - I've worn out 2 outsoles all the way through long before the upper was wore out; (2) for running these are great, on the trail your ball-of-foot will slide around in the boot, it's a trade-off; (3) this boot is screaming for an all-leather version; (4) for the price I'm disappointed in the lack of durability in the outsole. Until a competitor can trump the Boulder boot, this is and will remain my every-day shoe. When I buy my 4th pair, I'm going to attempt to attach a thin vibram sole to the bottom of the Boulder boots in the hope they'll last longer than 8 months. Until the Boulder is outdone, I'll continue to buy them. All-day comfort on concrete and the trail.

Posted by Weston Smith on Apr 16th 2016

These boots are very comfortable to wear, very light. I broke them in going up and down 3 flights of stairs clearing out a house and my feet felt great after*. My only criticisms: like every pair of Lems I've bought, the shoelaces are too short. May be personal preference but I like a longer lace. *The other criticism I have is the boots rub my ankles raw. I'm not used to a taller boot either but that's my problem, not the shoes. I'm not disappointed with this purchase at all. Just need to get used to them.

I love these boots! Ever since I got them, I've worn them almost every single day. The natural shape is so much more comfortable than any of my old shoes that squeeze my toes together or have a heel. The only downside is that after walking on cement all day (I walk 8 miles/day on average) , my heel starts to hurt because there is not very much padding. These would be absolutely perfect if there was more padding.

I have been wearing these exclusively since I got them about a month ago. They are very comfortable, fit well (I got 48's and typically am size 13), and there is plenty of room in the toe box which I love for allowing my toes to stretch out while the boots are on. This is exactly the type of minimalist boot I was looking for - something that looks normal (better yet, looks awesome!) yet offers my feet the opportunity to return to a more natural posture. Highly recommended!
