Correct Toes
These toe spacers are created by the Correct Toes company.  They can be worn inside Lems Shoes during activity.  It is recommended to remove the insole of the shoe in order create ample space inside the toe area.  Wearing Correct Toes during activity can increase the re-aligning effect of the toes back to their natural position.  They can be worn during running, walking, and hiking to spread and strengthen the toes naturally.  Also, Correct Toes naturally help reverse the affects of bunions and hammer toes.  Correct Toes are the World's only toe spacer designed to be worn inside footwear.  They're great for runner's that want a healthier toe splay to improve balance, and to properly spread the toes upon foot strike.
Re-aligning Transition Period
Correct Toes have been tested and proven by hundreds of patients to re-align the toes and straighten the big Toe, however a proper re-aligning period must be accounted for.  The time period varies based on how often and how long they are worn, and how quickly the toes of the individual responds to them.  Most individuals will notice wider spaces between their toes after about 4 weeks, when worn for several hours every other day.  For patients that are trying to straighten the big toe from the affects of bunions, the Correct Toes need to be worn regularly for several months.  Some severe toe deformities may never be completely corrected, however Correct Toes will improve the alignment of your toes when you dedicate proper time each week until you are satisfied with your new natural toe spread.
Please watch the following 3 videos to better understand your Correct Toes.  The 2nd and 3rd video come from the mouth of Dr. Ray McClanahan, the inventor of Correct Toes.
Small - Works best for children or individuals with very petite feet (i.e., people who have a shoe size of approximately US women's size 6.5 and under).
Medium - Works best for most women (i.e., women who wear shoes ranging in size from approximately US women's size 7 to 12) and a large majority of men (i.e., men who have a shoe size of approximately US men's size 11 and under).  Also men that as large as size 12.5 may select this size to better fit inside shoes.
Large - Works best for men who have a shoe size of approximately US size 11 and up or women who have a shoe size of approximately US women's size 13 and up.
Note: you can modify your Correct Toes to get a better fit.  They most commonly need to be modified if it's spreading your 5th toe (pinky toe) to far.  See the video below: Modify Correct Toes

    correct toes

Posted by holly on Feb 16th 2017

I am thrilled with correct toes!!! I am a new user with only a month under my belt, but I already see and feel a difference so I know I am on the right path! Due to a disabiling work accident involving back/hip/knee on my left side, my walking, gait and balance are permanently impacted. After dealing with this for quite awhile my feet have now joined in with various pains, hammer toes, bunions, fallen arches, etc. Finding Lems and now living in my correct toes almost 24 hours a day have already started to straighten out all the issues. Hurray!

    Correct Toes

So far I am so pleased with the comfort and the ease in which you can use these. My right foot is very out of line but am seeing progress and know that it will take some time. Also I had one toenail that was almost dead from being hidden under another and am seeing vast improvement in it already!

    Great product

Posted by Adam Sandmaier on Sep 23rd 2016

Been wearing correct toes for almost 2 years now and love the product. They fit well inside my lems. After 1.75 years I got a small tear in one of them so overall I would say they are fairly durable. Most importantly, I am starting to see better separation of my toes and better toe control.

Seems to do what it's supposed to do

    Posted by K on Aug 28th 2016

I haven't been wearing these long enough to know if it will fully correct the mild bunion on my foot, but when I am wearing these, they appear to spread my toes out in a meaningful way. They are comfortable and I am optimistic about their effectiveness.

I wish I had ordered a size down. I did not take into account that my foot is narrow. I had to do quite a bit of trimming in the rubber, per the video. Otherwise, these are pure genius. My toes are healing and I can run again.

    Healthy feet again

Posted by Ellen on May 21st 2016

I read about Lems on a hiking blog and "stumbled upon" the Correct Toes. (Sorry for the pun.) They are fantastic. I wear them with my Primal 2s when I walk every evening. I can wear them with my sandals and Alegria to work but will need to invest in more wide shoes. I wear a 6 or 6 1/2 and am currently wearing the small size. I have pieces of a shoe insert in the pocket beside the big toes. I think I may move up to a medium soon. I am attempting to prevent the progression of a bunion on my right foot and after three weeks, I think I may be successful.

    Saved Me

Posted by Marsha on Apr 30th 2016

I have been suffering from a Morton's Neuroma for awhile and it had reached the point that I could not walk without severe pain. Ibuprofen was my friend! But even wearing Crocs and limping a lot, I thought my days of walking my dog and hiking were over. Correct Toes saved me. I started wearing them a little at a time. Then worked my way up to always having them on, inside shoes, my Crocs, etc. They pull my toes apart enough that my neuroma is not pinched. The neuroma also has calmed down a lot since getting them and so am taking little Ibuprofen. Back to walking without pain and my dog is happy. Best. Invention. Ever.

These are great. I have been working on my toe spread for years and these seem to be helping reverse my bunion. I have found that I really only need them on one foot. My toes are so spread on the other foot that the correct toes don't stay on it.

    Increased my feet stability.

Posted by Katherine on Mar 6th 2016

Sizing: I am just between small and medium sizes. I tried them both. Small was a bit hard to put on, but possible. Medium size was slipping from my feet, but I did modifications with the help of the video and now they stay on my feet. Medium size is better for me. I have a bunion on one foot and CT tend to slip from this foot. 2 plasters managed to keep them:). I also need to put on a plaster when I go outside, because a bunion chafes my skin. Toe socks would help as well, I think. It's only this bunion that chafes my skin, other 8 toes are fine. And I don't like wearing socks at home, so I prefer a plaster. I wear CT all the time: barefoot at home, and with Lems Primal2 and Boulder Boots outside. I hope they'll be able to treat my flat feet and bunion with time. The bunion doesn't get better or worse, there isn't any pain. For now they give me comfort and I feel my feet are stronger and more stable. I was wearing Small size for 7 months, and they could serve much longer (there is only a tiny tear, they only began to wear out). I've been wearing Medium size for 2 months and I see no signs of breaking.

    Night Time Wearing

Posted by Loan Thach on Jul 31st 2015

I don't have patience to wear them during the day so I just wear them to sleep. After 2 nights of sleeping in them, I saw that my balance improved! That was exciting. I also feel my feet decompressing when I wear them at night--so totally adds to feeling relaxed. I'm a happy customer for sure.

    Great invention

Posted by Leah on Jun 18th 2015

I love all my cute shoes, but not what they have done to my feet. Correct Toes are helping me get back to a natural toe splay. I am working on regaining strength in my little toes and Correct Toes is helping me achieve this. I wear a women's 8 1/2 US and the medium sized Correct Toes fit me with no modifications. I can wear them with or without toe socks.

    Nice Concept

Posted by Rod on Apr 4th 2015

I been using spacers for a few weeks. They are great when bare foot. Recently i'm having a problem with toe knuckles being sore from bending restriction of spacers. i think i need to cut them to fit better, but a bit worried that if i mess up, then $80 down the drain.

    Love my Correct Toes

My husband and I both wear these and love them. My husband has a hip that has been painful for years and when he wears these his hip no longer hurts. They really give you a better base of support in standing.

    Correct toes

Terrific product. I can't wear them with toe sox because they slip. But I can wear standard sock over the toe socks with perfect comfort. Highly recommended

    Works for me

Posted by Martin on Dec 2nd 2014

They are good. Stretch the toes to where they should be in a gentle way, could be a bit cheaper. Nothing is going to put your feet back to where they were when they were younger, but these help.

    love the correc toes

Posted by Shelley on Nov 19th 2014

I have been wearing these since I received them in mail. At first some of my toes were tender. After a few days, I am wearing them over 8 hours a day. My feet feel stable and I stand on my feet for 9 hours a day. My feet feel so much better, as well as my knees. I am so glad I ordered these, and the shoes! I am getting another pair for Christmas!

    This Product Has Potential

Posted by Marcha on Aug 7th 2014

I wear size 7.5 in women shoes so I purchased the medium size correcttoes. When I first put them on I notice that my pinky toes were being push too further out. I referred to the modification video and decided snipe a off the two pieces completely. Through I'm noticing a slight difference my big toes I feel like my feet can benefit more if I had a slightly smaller size.

    Why Lems Don't Work

    Posted by A on Jun 23rd 2014

Just look at the picture advertising correct toes with Lems. CLEARLY, the big toe is squished. Even in the X-ray picture it's the same. I don't understand why shoes have to curve back inward at the great toe. If you line the shoes up the Big toe area on the inside of the shoes should touch COMPLETELY to allow for Big toe extension-- if the shoe deviates and curves inwards the Big toe will as well.

    Good Choice

Posted by Frances Murphy on Apr 26th 2014

The In-shoe toe spacers fit well, are comfortable in socks, & align my toes better than individual spacers or the material kind that are supposed to flatten hammertoes, etc. I have not yet worn them all day, nor have I tried them in shoes. But so far, so good.

I wear them all the time

Posted by Laura on Feb 27th 2014

I wear my Correct Toes as much as I can, often with a pair of socks over them to help keep them in place when I'm not wearing any shoes. The only downside I've found is that I think they're a little too big. I bought a S/M, but now the company makes separate S and M sizes. I probably would do better with the smallest size.

    Waiting for long term effects

Posted by Wiesia Wranik on Jan 2nd 2014

I have not been able to wear these during the day inside a shoe (I did not purchase Lems shoes, and it does not fit inside regular shoes), but I have been sleeping with them. It's been about a month. It feels nice. Can't say there is a lot of change, and that is about all one could expect in a one month span. I imagine I would have to wait a long time for any real effect (as in a straighter big toe). I noticed in the other reviews that someone talked about adding fabric. What does refer to?

    Worked for my Bunion!

Posted by Andrew on Aug 27th 2013

I tried these after watching the video and checking out the Correct Toes website. The website says they fit perfectly in Lems Shoes and so I bought both together. It's like a match made in heaven. I wear them when I walk and it truly relieves my pain from my bunion! No surgery after-all! Yay Correct Toes.

    Helped for Neuromas

Posted by Rachel on Aug 9th 2013

I bought these for my Mom because she's be complaining about her Neuromas. Like she's stepping on a wadded-up sock. She says they're helping and that numbness has gone away. She showed her podiatrist and he loved them. I asked, "why doesn't everyone know about this!"

    Worked for me

Posted by Christian Ravera on Mar 20th 2012

Modifying Correct Toes for your feet is key (watch video). At first, my big toe kept slipping out, so I added material to the toe. Then, after material was added to my pinky side, my pinky hurt. I removed half the material, let my pinky get used to it, then added the rest and no more pain! I don't recommend wearing it ALL the time as it seems to modify my walking gait slightly, but definitely an important part of your healing strategy if you haven't lived "barefoot" all the way from childhood.

    Take a Chance

Posted by Heidi Wilmott on Oct 20th 2011

I can see the benefit however they did not fit my particular foot anatomy. One foot felt great the other not so great. I say give them a try-a small investment for a chance of some relief.
