The Primal Pursuit Mid is the same shoe as the Primal Pursuit, only with a little more height, waterproof protection, and a suede upper. That’s right, splish splash, take that bath. In these, you can puddle jump, hike through mud, and get caught in the rain while your feet stay nice and dry. 

Think of the Primal Pursuit Mid as a hybrid of the Primal 2 and the Trailhead/Mesa. We incorporated all of the features you have grown to love about these shoe models into one new and improved style! The fit and feel is the same as the Primal 2, only with a bit more oomph, like the Trailhead/Mesa, in order to navigate over rocks and roots like a pro. 

The new Trail Traction Outsole features a slightly higher stack height and more cushion than the  Primal 2, without tacking on too much extra weight. The Primal Pursuit Mid combines the fit and feel of the Primal 2 with the functionality and durability of the Trailhead/Mesa for more adventurous…pursuits - see what we did there? ;)

The materials include an air mesh upper that allows for maximum air flow to wick away moisture and keep you presentable for a post-hike brewski with friends. The Primal Pursuit Mid features the same zero-drop heel and wide toe box as the Primal 2 that allows the toes to behave like they are meant to - free and splayed.

    I love these shoes!

    From the minute I received these, I knew they were going to be my favorite day hikers. They feel like a hug for my feet. I did have to order a half size up for the best fit.

    So nice, I bought them thrice!

    I simply adore these shoes! I got a pair on a whim at Happy Hiker in Albuquerque last spring. They are lightweight and so comfortable! I bought these for work, as I often walk 5-7 miles a day at my job and was looking for something that could keep me dry in the rain, but weighed less than my clunky Salomons. I never realized how much pressure my old shoes were putting on my toes until I experienced the open toe box of Lems. It has completely resolved the soreness and swelling I was experiencing at the end of a long work day. My gait also improved because I was walking more naturally.

    I love the slight scoop/divot around the ankle area, as it allows a little freedom and movement to that part of my leg, which often gets sore with mid to high ankle boots— but I don’t have that problem with the Primal 2 Mids!

    I’ve had multiple people compliment them for their looks, too. I ordered two backup pairs in different colors to use for work, yard work, and camping. If I find a product or clothing item I really love, I like to keep a spare just to be safe, and these were so awesome I decided I needed TWO sets of spares. They really do work for almost any situation. Can’t recommend them highly enough!
